My Journey to Natural Medicine

2019 - the Year of the Earth Pig.

As someone born under the sign of the pig in 2007, 1995, 1983, it was a special anniversary for him, also for me. Many wonderful things happened that year, and I'll briefly summarize them. This year changed my view about life.

Through my desire to study and experience the world, new opportunities opened up for me this time. The spring of 2019 was particularly significant. Thanks to Univercity of engineerings in České Budějovice, I spent an entire semester with my friend Honza in the capital city of China in Beijing. For the trip, I made two t-shirts with Chinese characters to help communicate. One shirt said, "Make the best with vegetables" and the other "I don't eat meat, I only eat vegetables." It turned out to be a great source of amusement for anyone who passed by! :)

We met a young Chinese man who spoke limited English and wanted to be friends. We exchanged contacts and began enjoying meals together, practicing English and Chinese. He turned out to be a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, specializing in acupuncture, tuina massage, and osteopathy. We visited him at the hospital, where he treated 30-40 clients daily and taught us about acupuncture and massage, providing us with a valuable insight into Chinese culture.

Our friend Lu was surprised to find that he returned to Bohemia a month before we did. During our trip, we made him a T-shirt that said "Czech girls are the most beautiful" for good luck. I'm not sure how well it served him, but he only stayed for 5 months before returning to China alone.

This year, I encountered significant paradoxes. In China, people treated us with respect; they were eager to engage in conversation and wanted to take pictures with us, making us feel like the stars of the moment. In contrast, Dr. Lu, a Chinese colleague, felt somewhat out of place in the Czech Republic. It seemed that people often judged him negatively at first glance, and the idea that anyone would want to engage with him appeared unlikely.

After our return to the Czech Republic, I was glad to invite him to stay with us on the weekends. He enjoyed practicing his techniques on our acquaintances, and I was astonished by how quickly he could address their health issues, regardless of age. All he needed were a few questions, a pulse check, and an examination of the tongue, and remarkable things would happen.

I eagerly sought out the best school for natural medicine, ultimately choosing the 1st School of Natural Medicine in Prague. After graduating four years ago, I feel well-prepared and capable of helping anyone in need. Additionally, I have completed twelve four-day seminars on tuina massage, as well as two seminars focused on medicinal mushrooms and Chinese herbal blends.

Thanks to Lu, my courage, and the excellent opportunities for study and development, I am now prepared for the journey ahead of me. The therapies have been highly successful, providing clients with improved health, pain relief, and a sense of psychological calm.

I personally enjoy the journey of being a therapist and feel as though I was born for this role. My goal is to help people achieve conscious living without relying on stimulants, chemical drugs, surgeries, addictions, or diseases. Together, we can all volunteer to co-create a happy and healthy society.
