How a session works

What to expect, step by step

Nothing complicated. A pleasant conversation, a cup of warm tea and time to listen to what troubles you. We talk things through and together find a path that makes sense to both of us.

  2. A ceramic angel holding a lit candle – a calm atmosphere for the session

    TCM diagnosis

A conversation, pulse, tongue, iris and palpation of reflex points. We look for the main cause of your problems, not just the symptom.

    5–60 minutes

  3. Chinese cuisine – the harmony of the five flavours
    03

    Tailored therapy

Tuina massage, acupressure, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha or hot lava stones – depending on what the diagnosis shows. Tuina is done through clothing and without oil.

    30–60 minutes

  4. Recommendations for home: exercise and movement

    Recommendations and next steps

You leave with a concrete plan: exercises, dietary changes, herbs or medicinal mushrooms. I record everything in your client file so we can pick up where we left off next time.

Practical questions

Before you come

What should I wear?

Comfortable cotton clothing. Tuina massage is done through clothing and without oil, so nothing gets stained and you don’t need to change or shower.

Should I bring anything?

A list of the medicines you take and any medical reports relating to the problems you are coming with. Avoid heavy meals and alcohol before the session.

How long does a session take?

A diagnosis on its own takes about 60 minutes. Tuina massage takes 60 minutes, plus a few minutes for a short consultation. A diagnosis with massage takes 2 hours. Ego diagnostics takes 2.5–3 hours.

What should I do after the session?

Give yourself some rest, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, heavy food and stress. The day after a massage is usually when you feel it most. Some symptoms may get temporarily worse – this is how the body adjusts to the change. If anything worries you, give me a call.

How do I pay?

You pay after the session, in cash or by bank transfer. On request I can issue an invoice for your employer or for a health insurance benefit programme.

Can I cancel an appointment?

Yes. Cancelling at least 48 hours in advance is free of charge – just call, send a text message or an email. If you cancel later, I charge 50% of the price of the booked service, including travel for home visits.
