Harmonisation that goes deep

Tuina massage works in a targeted and at the same time comprehensive way. I influence specific areas and organs through local and distant points – thanks to the energy channels, reflex zones and the connections between acupuncture points.

I work with the deeper layers of muscles, tissues and fascia as well as with the channels of qi energy, so that your energy system becomes stronger and flows freely. If a problem has not lasted long, one massage is often enough and the body finds its balance on its own.

What to expect

  1. A short conversation and a basic diagnosis (about 5 minutes) – pulse, tongue, what is troubling you and where it hurts.
  2. Massage through clothing and without oil. I work with points on the channels, release stiff areas and get the energy flowing.
  3. Complementary techniques as needed – cupping, moxibustion (warming the points with mugwort), gua sha (scraping with a special tool), warming with hot lava stones or auriculotherapy. On their own, you will find them in the price list as complementary treatments.
  4. Recommendations for home – what to do, what to avoid and when to come back.

“It may look rough, but with the right touch it is a relaxing experience. The main relief comes after the massage and lasts for up to 3 weeks.”

I give massages at the practice in Tábor and, on Thursdays by arrangement, also in the massage room of the Yogastation Tábor studio (Bílkova 960, 390 02 Tábor) – you book the same way, using the form or by phone.

A course of 5 massages: get to know Tuina fully

Five one-hour massages, each focused on a different part of the body – you discover everything Tuina can do, at a reduced price when you pay for the whole course at the first massage (see prices).

  1. Foundation – massage and release of blockages in the back, neck and lower back.
  2. Lower half – reflex massage of the feet, releasing the ankles, knees, hips, SI joints and the whole legs, activating acupuncture points that matter for you.
  3. Upper half – reflex massage of the palms, releasing the wrists, elbows, shoulders and neck, point massage.
  4. Front of the body – massage of the legs, abdomen, chest and face.
  5. Finale – a more vigorous technique on any part of the body you choose or need.

I approach everyone individually – in the course too, I adapt the massages to your condition, age and health problems so that they match your needs as closely as possible. You can book the course using the form or by phone.

Why it still works today

Tuina is one of the oldest techniques of Chinese medicine. The principles have stayed the same; what has grown is the experience of how to combine the techniques. For Czech clients I choose a gentler form: a good diagnosis, a clear explanation and an intensity you control yourself.

Just as yin cannot exist without yang, the body cannot exist without the mind. That is why a massage is often followed by a conversation about what your body is telling you. And for those who want to go deeper, there is ego diagnostics.

Questions and answers

What people ask most often

Didn’t find your answer? Call or write – I’m happy to explain.

Does it hurt?

It may look rough, but done with the right touch Tuina is a relaxing experience. Some techniques can be painful at moments, though – you control the intensity, just tell me. Some people need deeper, more vigorous work, others a gentle, warming touch – I always adapt the intensity to you. After the massage you may feel energised and relaxed, or pleasantly tired if you have been running on reserves for a long time.

What does Tuina include?

All the techniques that work with the energy channels: cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, gentle energy massage and deep tissue massage, reflex massage and auriculotherapy (stimulating points on the ear). The techniques support each other, which is why I often combine them.

How many massages will I need?

With recent problems, one or two treatments are often enough. For problems that have lasted a few months, expect 3–5 massages. For long-term conditions, a course of 5–10 sessions once a week works best – the effects of the individual massages build on each other. If you want to get to know Tuina fully, you can book a discounted course of 5 massages (described above).

How long does the effect last and what should I do afterwards?

You feel the changes most strongly in the first 1–3 days, but the massage keeps working for up to 3 weeks. The day after the massage some symptoms may temporarily get worse, which is part of the body rebalancing itself. After the massage, drink plenty, rest and avoid alcohol, heavy food and stress.

Is Tuina suitable for children and seniors?

Yes. With children I work more gently, for a shorter time and with a parent present – often herbal baths, seeds on ear points or a massage of the reflex zones are enough. With seniors I choose gentler, complementary techniques, ideally with a follow-up session every 3 weeks, complemented by teas or tinctures that take their medication into account.

“Where there is harmony, there is health.”

Shall we take the first step together?

Book a diagnosis or a massage. I will get back to you within 24 hours and we will find a time that suits you.
